Nephthani, also known as Nephthanatis, is a river deity who bears witness to the destruction caused by human greed and hubris. She may appear in various locations, often near waterways, gathering toxins in need of transmutation. An arbiter of the sacred life cycles, she particularly seeks out souls and ideas whose time has come but who refuse to die. She beckons them to her waters so she can transmute them and release them back to the regenerative flow of life.
